Big Sky Espresso Café, located in the heart of old Wheat Ridge, is the newest addition to an area being revitalized by small shop owners with a vision of a pedestrian and neighborhood friendly “downtown” for Wheat Ridge. Opened in late October, 2004, by owners Terry and Bob Amalfitano, Big Sky is the new place to go to meet clients, read, enjoy wireless Internet access, and a changing presentation of music, poetry, magic and more. Longtime residents of Northwest Denver and avid travelers, Terry and Bob envisioned a comfortable shop with great espresso, excellent food and a relaxing atmosphere. When the location at 38th and Teller became available, it seemed perfect for the concept. They chose Big Sky, Montana as their theme because they love the area and the warm appeal of the old west and its neighborly ways. Big Sky is open 6 days a week, serving espresso and fine pastries, breakfast burritos, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and homemade soups and salads in season. Their espresso and coffees are roasted each Monday by local roasters, Café Novo, and several different local bakeries supply their pastries, each providing their own specialties to the changing daily selection. Big Sky participates in the art atmosphere along 38th Ave., and showcases a different artist each month. Their cozy location offers seating for 30 and they will work with you to pre-arrange small group events. Visit Big Sky and remember how refreshing quality and great service can be. |
